Puppies abandoned in Gary looking for new homes

CROWN POINT, Ind. (WLS) -- A northwest Indiana pet facility is looking for new homes for several abandoned puppies. The dogs were found last month sitting alone and shivering near Gary.

Witnesses say they saw a black SUV push an adult dog out on the street. It looked like she had recently giving birth. A park ranger found three other puppies.

The pet foster organization ABRA in Crown Point, Ind., is working on their adoption.
