Gov. Rauner PAC receives $4M from billionaire Sam Zell

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WLS) -- Governor Bruce Rauner's new Political Action Committee just got a huge donation from billionaire businessman Sam Zell.

Documents filed Monday with the state board of elections show Zell giving four million to the fund called "Turnaround Illinois."

The money will be used to help push Rauner's agenda by supporting candidates and lawmakers who back the governor's plans and oppose those who do not.
