CHICAGO (WLS) -- A former employee of a popular Chicago restaurant chain has filed a lawsuit alleging that he was dismissed from his job because of his age.

Daniel Miller, 71, worked at Rosebud on Taylor Street in the University Village neighborhood for 25 years. He said he was let go for 'no reason' and replaced by a much younger person.

Miller had to train his replacement, his attorney said.

A spokesman for the restaurant released the following statement: "Rosebud Restaurants has a zero tolerance policy towards discrimination of any type. Mr. Miller's employment ended due to legitimate business reasons unrelated to any of his allegations. We look forward to presenting our case in court and are confident that the integrity of our employment practices will be proven through this process."
