Grayslake police searching for escaped sex offender Howard Sebring

GRAYSLAKE, Ill. (WLS) -- Grayslake police are searching for a registered sex offender who removed his home monitoring device and escaped.

Howard Sebring lives in Hainesville in Lake County. Police said he took off on foot with no money, identification or cell phone.

According to investigators, Sebring may harm himself but they don't think he's a threat to the public. Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
