Cab driver robbed in Loop

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A Chicago cab driver was robbed Friday afternoon in the Loop neighborhood when he got out of his car to help two men with directions, police said.

The incident happened near North LaSalle and Lake Street when the cab driver got out of the car. One of the men reached into the cab and grabbed cash and the driver's phone.

The driver chased the robbers and convinced them to give him back his cell phone.

The driver was not hurt.
