Beach at Indiana Dunes closed due to path erosion

MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. (WLS) -- A beach at the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore in northwest Indiana is ordered closed.

Erosion has created an eight-foot drop near a walking path at Central Beach just west of Michigan City.

The National Park Service says it says don't expect the beach to reopen anytime soon.
