Grandmother meets 86th great-grandchild days before 86th birthday
UPPER SANDUSKEY, Ohio (WLS) -- Marie Frey of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, must believe 86 is her lucky number: she met her 86th great-grandchild just days before her 86th birthday, ABC News reports.
Blakely Grace Frey was born on June 23. Marie's birthday is June 26.
"It's pretty good she got to see her. Family and faith are her two biggest favorites. She's a very strong woman," said her grandson Kenney Frey, who is Blakely's father.
Marie and her late husband Gerald, who died in 2009, had 15 children, 68 grandchildren and in addition to her 86 biological great-grandchildren Marie also has nine step-great grandchildren.
Blakely is Kenny Frey's fifth daughter, and his wife Holly shares the same June 26 birthday with Marie. Marie is expecting two more great-grandchildren in 2016.
