Woman's heat-related death is the first of the season for Cook County

BROOKFIELD, Ill. (WLS) -- Cook County had its first heat-related death of the season over the weekend.

Darlene Lipske, 70, of west suburban Brookfield died Sunday.

Temperatures reached up to 93 degrees a day before her death.

An autopsy found she died of heart disease and heat stress.
