CHICAGO (WLS) -- A bicyclist and a motorcyclist were critically injured when they collided on Chicago's Northwest Side.

Witnesses said the motorcyclist was speeding when he struck the bicyclist, who has not been identified, around 4:30 a.m. near West Addison Street and North Kostner. The bicyclist was headed to work at a nearby facility.

"I saw the whole thing just happen in front of me like it was in the movies. I couldn't believe it. I just called 911 right then and there," Carl Madison said.

The bicyclist was taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital while the motorcycle rider was taken to Community First Hospital. Both are in critical condition
