Cong. Dold calls for life-saving medical research funds

CHICAGO (WLS) -- There is a call Monday for more federal funding toward life-saving medical research.

Illinois Congressman Bob Dold toured Lurie Medical Research Center at Northwestern University.

Dold said is pushing for new legislation called "21st Century Cures Act" to treat diabetes, Alzheimer's disease, cancer and more.
