Chicago man gets 7 years for stealing construction vehicles in Aurora

AURORA, Ill. (WLS) -- A Chicago man has been sentenced to 7 years in jail for stealing construction vehicles in west suburban Aurora.

Daniel Flowers pleaded guilty earlier this year to taking the construction equipment. Prosecutors said that while he awaiting sentencing, Flowers also sold a church van he didn't own.

In addition to the prison time, Flowers also will have to pay nearly $35,000 in restitution for the equipment and van.
