Chicago man fights off armed robber in Florida

CORAL GABLES, Fla. (WLS) -- A Chicago man and his friend helped fight off an armed robber in Florida.

Surveillance video shows the alleged thief storming into a convenience store and demanding that everyone empty their pockets.

One customer grabs the robber while his friend hits the suspect with a bottle of tea.

They held the suspect until police got there.
