A good read could be the perfect gift for a loved one this holiday season as Amazon is out with its list of its best books of 2015.

Topping that list is "Fates and Furies" by Lauren Groff, which is about how two people can be married for years and still know so little about each other.

Number two on the list is "Between the World and Me" by Ta-Nehisi Coates, a story of race in America told by a father to his teenaged son.

Amazon's third favorite is "Becoming Nicole" by Amy Ellis Nutt, the inspiring true story of how one transgendered child began to change the world.

Amazon's team of editors read hundreds of thousands of pages to compile their "best" list.
