Southern delights come to Chicago
Diamonds Sports Bar and Grill offers sports and other viewing parties, Karaoke, Game Nights, slot machines and more! There's plenty of typical bar food plus mac and cheese, sweet potatoes and smothered turkey chops! Owner Princess Lomax brings her mother's recipes to this Southside venue. For a real taste of the South on the North Side, Luella's Southern Kitchen is the place to eat and be. Named after his great grandmother Luella, Chef/Owner Darnell Reed has spent more than 20 years in restaurants, from dishwasher to executive chef. He's taken southern cooking to new heights by brining his fried chicken, using a low and slow dark roux with his chicken gumbo, milling the grits in house and turning out a killer buttermilk sweet potato pie!
