More than half of Americans don't know all 4 grandparents' names, poll shows

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Do you know all four of your grandparents' names?

More than 50% of Americans do not know their grandparents' full names -- this means knowing the first and last names of all your grandparents, according to an Ancestry.com poll.

However, two-thirds of people surveyed overall said they'd like to know more about their family history.

Some interesting things you could learn from your grandparents are:

Stories about your ancestors when they were young, and what their life was like

Where did their last name come from, and what does it mean?

What region or country did they originally come from?
