Lake County Sheriff's deputies responded about 9:40 p.m. to the 10000-block of Wadsworth Road in Beach Park, sheriff's office spokesman Sgt. Chris Covelli said.

When deputies arrived, they found a man, 52, and woman, 49, in a garage behind a home on the block, both appeared to have gunshot wounds. They were pronounced dead on the scene.
Deputies and dogs searched the area, but did not find anything.

Neighbors said a husband and wife lived here and that they were very quiet people.Authorities have not released their identities. Autopsies for both victims are scheduled for Thursday.
Some neighbors said they may have seen two people in the area at the time who seemed suspicious. Authorities said they are looking at surveillance video from the area.
