SOUTH HOLLAND, Ill. (WLS) -- A driver was killed in a wrong-way crash on the I-94 southbound ramp to I-80 off the Bishop Ford Expressway in the south suburbs Tuesday night, Illinois State Police confirmed.

State police said that at about 6 p.m., troopers responded to a three vehicle crash on the exit ramp.
State police said their preliminary investigation found the driver of a passenger car was driving the wrong way on the ramp when it struck a semi-truck head on, then struck another vehicle.
The driver of the car going the wrong way was killed in the crash, Illinois State Police said. No other injuries were reported.

The southbound I-94 ramp to I-80 eastbound remains closed for the investigation. State police did not have an estimate for when it would reopen.
No further information was released. Drivers should seek alternate routes.
