Chicago crime: Woman's body found in garbage can in Chatham alley, police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police are investigating after a woman's body was found in a trash can in the Chatham neighborhood Friday afternoon.

Chicago police said a witness discovered the remains of a female inside of a garbage container in the alley in the 8400-block of S. Ingleside Avenue around 12:47 p.m.

The remains have not yet been identified. Area Two detectives are investigating.
