A vehicle could be seen crashed into a CTA bus stop shelter at the scene. Shattered glass covered the surrounding sidewalk.
The car that caused the crash disregarded a traffic signal and hit another vehicle, Chicago police said. The car that caused the crash was also the vehicle that hit the bus shelter.
According to Chicago police, three people were taken to hospital with injuries in good condition: one person from the car that caused the crash and two people from the other vehicle.

Chicago fire officials initially reported that two boys, ages two and nine, were taken to Stroger Hospital with serious injuries. It was also reported that two other people were also taken to a hospital.
No citations were issued, police said.
