CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago fire officials said a car crash in West Pullman sent one vehicle into a home, causing fire that was quickly put out and injuring six people.

Fire officials said there was a two-car crash at 116th and South Racine. A tweet from the Chicago Fire Department said one vehicle was stolen.

"All I heard was a big boom," said witness Ashanti Chapman.

Surveillance video caught the entire incident, and we want to warn you it may be difficult to watch.

A family member said his brother borrowed his SUV and was driving back from the store with his friends when he said the driver of a black Kia crashed into his vehicle.

In the video, you can see the impact from the crash, then the SUV flips over and slams into the home.

Deon Winters' mother and siblings live in that home. He said no one was there when the crash happened.

"Just by the grace of God everybody was out taking care of their usual errands," he said.

The SUV crashed into the living room, where Winters said his mother would have been had she not been at a doctor's appointment at the time.

"That's her spot, exactly where the impact happened, that is where she lays her head before work so I'm just happy she wasn't here. Just thankful to God that everybody's OK," he said.

Larry Dotson said his surveillance cameras caught police on the scene shortly after.

"Almost immediately after the incident there were officers in plain clothes chasing after the subject that I believe was in the grey car," he said.

After the crash, videos shows a person jump out of the Kia as the SUV caught on fire, which then spread to the home.

Fire officials said six people were injured in the crash and taken to a local hospital in fair condition.

The owner of the SUV said his brother, who was driving, is doing OK. He also said the police told him the Kia that struck his vehicle was stolen and an arrest has been made.

ABC7 has reached out to Chicago police, for information on the investigation but police have not yet released a narrative.
