CHICAGO (WLS) -- Illinois State police are investigating a shooting on the Dan Ryan Expressway on Chicago's South Side Wednesday morning.
Illinois State Police said Chicago police contacted them about a shooting victim who walked into a police station and said they were involved in a shooting at about 5:10 a.m. on the outbound lanes of the Dan Ryan near 87th Street.

. Illinois State police had closed the outbound lanes at 83rd Street as they investigate. They were reopened shortly before 8 a.m.
