According to the Chicago Fire Department, firefighters were called to 64th and Carpenter at around 3 a.m.

Flames first broke out at home at 6405 S. Carpenter and quickly spread to two adjacent buildings, CFD said.
The building department was called out to inspect the structural integrity of the first home, according to CFD.
Everyone inside the homes were able to get out safely and no one was injured, the fire department said.
A cause of the fire is under investigation.
