The fire appeared to be in the 1500 block of South Christiana Avenue in Lawndale.
Chopper 7 over West Side fire
Heavy smoke could be seen coming from a home at the location. Parts of the exterior wall were burned.
The Chicago Fire Department said the fire began on the back porches of the building, where heavy damage could be seen.
No injuries were reported. It was not known how exactly the fire started.
