CHICAGO (WLS) -- One of Chicago's most anticipated yearly events returns on Labor Day weekend. The 39th Annual Chicago Jazz Festival is taking place at the Chicago Cultural Center and Millennium Park. Admission to all of the performances is free. The festival is produced by the Department of Cultural Affairs & Special Events and programmed by the Jazz Institute of Chicago. The Chicago Jazz Festival has been showcasing talented artists from Chicago and around the world since 1979. Organizers hope the festival exposes the city to all forms of jazz. The commissioner of DCASE, Mark Kelly, joined ABC 7 live from Millennium Park to share what the festival has in store.
