West Side police shooting: No one hurt after officer-involved shooting, CPD officials say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police exchanged gunfire with a suspect Friday morning, but no one was hurt.

The shooting occurred at about 7:40 a.m. in the 700-block of North Trumbull Avenue, police said.

Officers were conducting a narcotics investigation when a suspect opened fire on them, according to CPD. Officers then returned fire, but no one was injured in the exchange.


SWAT also responded to the scene, according to CPD.

Police said no one is in custody.
