Severe storms move through parts of Chicago area
The storms' main threats are lightning, hail and heavy rain, and the areas south of Interstate 80 have been hit the hardest, said ABC7 Meteorologist Mark McGinnis. Those systems are causing flooding as they slowly move east.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect for Iroquois County until midnight Monday.
A Flash Flood Warning is in effect for LaSalle and Lee counties until 12:30 a.m. Monday.
Another Flash Flood Warning is in effect for Grundy, Kankakee, Kendall, Will counties until 12:15 a.m. Monday.
While the most severe parts of the storms had moved out of the area by 10:30 p.m., moderate-to-heavy rain was still falling in Will, Grundy, LaSalle and Livingston counties. About six inches of rain has fallen north of Morris in Grundy County, according to radar estimates.

Storms bring heavy rain, flooding to southern suburbs
McGinnis said there were reports of zero visibility due to blowing dust on Sunday night around Streator in LaSalle County. Wind gusts reached 62 mph near Lostant in LaSalle County, causing road signs to become bent.
A Dust Storm Warning was in effect for parts of the south suburban area, but has since expired.

McGinnis said the storms are interacting with the lake breeze, but should weaken as the storms ingest cooler air.
Cloudy, damp and much cooler weather is forecast for Chicago on Monday.
