CHICAGO (WLS) -- A woman on a bicycle attempted to lure a 16-year-old girl to a home Wednesday afternoon, police said.

Police said the teen was walking southbound near the 500 block of North Lawndale Avenue at approximately 4:45 p.m. when she was approached by an unknown woman on a black mountain bike. The woman asked the girl what school she attended and said that her son attended the same school, police said.

The woman also touched the teen's student ID around her neck and said, "Oh, you so pretty, come to my house so you can meet my son," according to police. The teen ran to a friend's house.
