CHICAGO (WLS) -- CTA Blue Line service has resumed with delays after a suspicious package was found at the Forest Park stop, prompting an evacuation.

The Forest Park station was evacuated for the police investigation. As of 4:15 p.m., no one was being allowed in or out of the station.

Officials said a CTA employee found a suspicious package on a train and put it on the platform in Forest Park. It was eventually determined to be food.

Service was suspended between Forest Park and UIC-Halsted until about 4:30 p.m., at which point some service resumed.

Blue Line riders should expect delays as service normalizes.
