Resources for DACA recipients in Chicago

Tuesday, September 12, 2017
CHICAGO (WLS) -- The Trump administration announced their plan to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program on September 5, leaving Congress to decide the fate of nearly 800,000 unauthorized immigrants protected under the program, known as DREAMers. The plan calls for a phase out of DACA over the next six months.

No new DACA applications can be submitted, but DACA recipients whose protections expire before March 5, 2018 can renew. The renewal must be done before October 5, 2017.
