CHICAGO (WLS) -- One person was killed in a crash on the outbound Dan Ryan Expressway on Chicago's South Side Tuesday morning, Illinois State Police said.
The two-car crash occurred near 63rd Street at about 2:14 a.m. as a Lexus LS460 struck the rear end of a Nissan Altima.

car rear-ended the other car.

A 28-year-old Chicago man who was a passenger in the Altima was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Authorities have not released his identity.

The drivers of both vehicles were hospialized with non-life-threatning injuries.
The outbound express lanes were closed to traffic while police investigated and were fully reopened by 8:11 a.m.
