2 injured after car crashes into Evanston McDonald's

EVANSTON, Ill. (WLS) -- A driver and a pedestrian were injured after a car crashed into an Evanston McDonald's Thursday morning.

The driver crashed just before 7 a.m. in the 1100-block of West Howard Street.

Firefighters shut down Howard from Ridge to Asbury avenues for around two hours. Police said the car was leaking fuel.

Two workers at the McDonald's were shaken by the close call and taken to hospitals to be checked out.
