Will County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the 13600-block of Shannon Drive for a report of shots fired.

A caller to 911 reported hearing an argument among the homeowners followed by the sound of gunshots.
Deputies arrived and found a man and woman dead in the kitchen, the sheriff's office said. Both were shot and pronounced dead at the scene.
A handgun was recovered from the scene and investigators determined that the deaths are the result of a murder-suicide, the sheriff's office said.
The Glendale Heights Police Department confirmed that Sergeant Michael Huff and his wife, Jackie Huff died. Police said it appears Michael Huff killed Jackie before killing himself.

Glendale police said in a statement saying, "It is with profound sadness that the Village of Glendale Heights announces the passing of Glendale Heights Police Department Sergeant Michael Huff and his wife, Jackie Huff, in an apparent murder and suicide. The Village learned that Michael took his own life and the life of Jackie on Sunday evening, November 19, 2023 in an apparent murder and suicide in their family home in Homer Glen, Illinois. Michael served the Glendale Heights community for over 20 years and Jackie was a former Village of Glendale Heights employee.
"This loss has left a deep void within the Village of Glendale Heights. Our hearts go out to the family and friends of Michael and Jackie, and we extend our sincerest condolences during this incredibly difficult time.
"The Village of Glendale Heights and the Glendale Heights Police Department are working closely with the Will County Sheriff's Office on this incident. We will continue to provide any information to the authorities that will help with the investigation of this tragic event.
