CHICAGO (WLS) -- Two people were killed and another critically injured in a rollover crash that was caused by cars racing on I-57 on the South Side Wednesday morning, authorities said.
The rollover crash occurred in the inbound lanes of I-57 near 99th Street as a driver of an SUV spun out and hit a light pole, Illinois State Police said.

Three people were inside of the SUV at the time of the crash, ISP and the Chicago Fire Department said.
One man was pronounced dead at the scene, CFD and ISP said. Two other people were transported to Advocate Christ Hospital, with one later being pronounced dead, police said.
The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office later identified one person killed in the crash as 28-year-old Ray Collins Wednesday evening. The identity of the other person was not yet available.
Illinois State Police later said that the crash was caused by cars racing on I-57, which led to the victim's SUV to spin out.
