CHICAGO (WLS) -- The president of the United States was honored Saturday at a Chicago gala.

Well, not the real one, the Netflix one.

Kevin Spacey, who plays President Underwood on "House of Cards," received the Renaissance Man Award at the annual Gene Siskel Film Center Gala at the Four Seasons Hotel.

"I tried to find the worst review gene siskel ever gave me," Spacey said.

The highlight of the event was a fascinating interview with Chicago actor Jeremy Piven.

One of Piven's question: "Could you answer the first question as Al Pacino?"

Spacey talked about the anticipated fifth season of "House of Cards."

"I think people are taking a little too much worry about like, 'Oh, we're going to be boring compared to that.' And I guarantee that we are not," Spacey said.

It is a busy few months for Spacey. He has a new film "Baby Driver" opening soon, hosting the Tony Awards and performing a one-man show about legendary Chicago lawyer Clarence Darrow.

"You sorta get to the point where you think, 'Oh, it can't get better than it is, I can't be more challenged, can't have more fun.' Then every year, it gets a little better," Spacey said.
