25th Anniversary of La Grange Hometown Holiday

LA GRANGE, Ill. (WLS) -- 'Tis the season for shopping and if you're looking to buy local, and enjoy holiday festivities, look no further than the 25th La Grange Hometown Holiday. The village of La Grange celebrates the season with a mix of ice sculptures, a petting zoo, carolers, and even a visit from Santa Claus on December 3, 2016. The first 100 shoppers to turn in original receipts ($20 minimum per receipt) totaling at least $300 will receive gift certificates valued at $50 to spend at participating La Grange Business Association members.

There's something for everyone to enjoy and buy. At 3 p.m., watch a free matinee of the holiday classic "Elf." Then at 4 p.m. the Salt Creek Choir hosts a holiday concert. The petting zoo, pony rides, and kiddie train rides begin at 5 p.m. Santa is expected to arrive around 5:30 p.m. Nancy Cummings, executive director of the La Grange Business Association, joined ABC 7 live from La Grange talk share all the fun.
