CHICAGO (WLS) -- Five people were injured, including three children, in a crash on Lake Shore Drive Friday night.
The crash happened around 7 p.m. near 55th Street in the northbound lanes of Lake Shore Drive.

Chicago police said a 47-year-old woman driving northbound lost control and spun towards the curb lane. A car driven by a 56-year-old man that was also traveling northbound then struck the first car head-on.
The driver of the first car did not have any injuries, but a 22-year-old woman who was a passenger in the car was taken to the University of Chicago Hospital in good condition with a sprained ankle. The driver of the second car was taken to Univeristy of Chicago Hospital with a broken left leg, and his condition is stable, police said.
A 10-month-old boy was taken to Comer Children's Hospital in serious-to-critical condition, officials said. A 1-year-old girl and a 5-month-old boy were taken to the same hospital in good condition.

One person refused treatment at the scene, fire officials said.
No citations were issued to the driver of the first car, police said.
