McHenry County Sheriff's Office said they received a call at about 11:08 p.m. Tuesday for shots fired inside a home in the 3600-block of Fillmore Road.

Police said they found a man who appeared to be having a mental health issue who remains barricaded inside of a home.
Chopper 7 flew above the scene with police and SWAT units seen surrounding a home. Shortly after 8 a.m., police were seen bringing a person out of the home.
1 in custody after Johnsburg standoff, police say
Johnsburg police said a female was extracted from the home and that a man was taken into custody. Police said he is being treated and charges are pending.
The sheriff's office asked residents in the area of Hamlin Drive and Fillmore Road should shelter in place until advised otherwise and to avoid the area. Police said the shelter-in-place order has been lifted.

Johnsburg School District 12 said that school are closed Wednesday due to the police activity.
Authorities have not provided details on what has prompted the alert.
