Police: Man shot in Naperville road rage incident

NAPERVILLE, Ill. (WLS) -- A 22-year-old man was shot in Naperville early Thursday morning in what police said was a road rage incident, police said.

Naperville police responded to a call of shots fired in the 1400-block of Fairway Drive at about 1:57 a.m. Police said the victim, who is from West Chicago, four friends were getting out of an Uber when another car nearly sideswiped them.

After a verbal altercation, shots were fired and the 22-year-old man was wounded, police said. He was transported to Edward Hospital and his injuries were described by police as non-life-threatening. The suspect fled the scene in a white SUV, police said.
