How to make New Year's resolutions you can keep

This may not inspire you to pick a New Year's resolution, but Forbes magazine said 92 percent of all Americans never follow through on the goals they set.

The three most commonly failed resolutions are losing weight, getting in shape and quitting smoking.

Dr. Aimee Harris-Newon, author of "Thought Leaders", joined ABC7 News at 11AM to talk about what you can do instead:

-Keep it simple
-Be specific
-Make it tangible
-Create accountability
-Believe you can do it
-Be emotionally committed to your goal
