Woman claims man pushing child in stroller took her photo in Target dressing room

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Surveillance cameras captured the instantaneous reaction of a woman who says she was being recorded in a dressing room stall.

"I was just thinking I have to do something and I have to stop it," said "Leslie".

She was hollering, screaming and even in shock.

"He had a stroller with a child inside," she said.

No one at that moment near the Target fitting room stopped to help.

"That man is tall, and I wasn't able to do anything," she said.

It has been replaying in her head for the last few days.

"I feel really scared right now," she said.

Even so, she talked anonymously and exclusively with Eyewitness News because she wants women to hear her story. While inside a dressing room stall, her sense of privacy was violated.

"In the mirror I saw the reflection of the cell phone," she said.

She buttoned up her blouse then ran out to stop him, and in surveillance video you see him push her out of the way.

"We heard someone yelling, 'This man is crazy. Lock the door,'" said Russell Sevier.

The woman calls Russell Sevier her angel. He was the only one who reacted during her most helpless moment.

"Nobody was doing anything so I ran all the way down to the end of the building," he said as surveillance cameras captured him chasing the man and snapping a clear image of him that the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office is now using as a lead to find the man.

"I really think they should separate the men and women's fitting rooms so this won't happen," said Sevier.

The woman we talked to feels the same way but says what motivated her to talk goes beyond just putting someone in handcuffs.

"My main goal is not to catch him, is to (help him) receive the help that he needs and protect maybe this kid (that was with him)," said "Leslie".

Target released the following statement in regard to the incident that happened at their store:

"We want all of our guests to have a safe and welcoming experience whenever they shop at our stores. We will not tolerate this behavior and we are working closely with law enforcement by offering whatever support is needed. Since this is an active investigation, we ask that you direct all further questions to law enforcement."
