Person found dead on Blue Line tracks near O'Hare Airport: Chicago police

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A person was found dead on the CTA tracks near Chicago O'Hare Airport, causing Blue Line disruptions on Friday afternoon, officials said.

Chicago police said the person was discovered on the tracks near Terminal 5, and a death investigation is now underway.



Police did not immediately provide information about the person's identity.

The CTA said service was restored on Friday evening after being temporarily suspended due to a medical emergency on the tracks. Shuttle buses were available between Rosemont and O'Hare to provide connecting service through the affected area.
