CHICAGO (WLS) -- When it comes to achieving your dreams and living a happy life, you'll likely need to overcome fears along your journey. Now a new book, "
Fearvana," is helping people transform their fear, stress and anxiety into health, wealth and happiness. Author Akshay Nanavati recovered from PTSD and alcoholism through the concepts in Fearvana. After serving as a corporal in the United States Marines and serving on the front lines in Iraq, Akshay climbed the Himalayas, swam with sharks, and ultimately conquered his biggest fear: marriage.
Nanavati is speaking about his experiences during the Lions Clubs International Centennial Celebration at McCormick Place June 30 - July 4, 2017. He sat down with Eyewitness News to talk about his new book and how you can use your fears to accomplish your goals.
