Port Clinton Art Festival celebrates 34th year

HIGHLAND PARK, Ill. (WLS) -- The largest outdoor art festival in Illinois is back August 26-27, 2017 in downtown Highland Park, The Port Clinton Art Festival is celebrating its 34th year. Hundreds of juried artists representing 31 states will share their work in oil, acrylics, watercolor, jewelry, photography and more. The festival coincides with the 11th Annual Taste of Highland Park, which features food and libations from some of Highland Park's best restaurants. Along with the art and food, visitors can enjoy live music from a variety of acts.

Autism Speaks is the charity benefiting from Port Clinton Art Festival's Green Ribbon Project. Participating artists will be placing a green ribbon on a piece of art in their booth. If the piece is sold during the fest, then the artist will donate 10% of the proceeds to Autism Speaks. Amy Amdur, the President of Amdur Productions, joined ABC 7 live from Highland Park

Everyone is welcome to enjoy the incredible art at the 34th Annual Port Clinton Art Festival (which, by the way, is the largest outdoor art fest in all of Illinois!) Taste of Highland Park is running at the same time (also in downtown Highland Park). This is a family friendly event and it is also "wheel" - friendly (strollers, wheelchairs can easily get through the show).
