CHICAGO (WLS) -- Sixteen protesters were arrested Tuesday night after they shut down a busy downtown Chicago intersection. They joined hands and laid down to block the intersection of Congress and Clark.

Demonstrators said the protest was to remember those killed by violence and to demand Mayor Rahm Emanuel's resignation.
