The incident occurred at about 2:40 a.m. in the first block of Grand Avenue.
Police said a 38-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman were standing next to an Audi SUV when three armed suspects got out of a dark-colored sedan and approached them.
The suspects got into a physical altercation with the man and robbed the victims before fleeing in the Audi SUV, police said.
The man was transported to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was listed in good condition, police said. The Audi SUV was located unoccupied a short time later in the 12000-block of South Bishop Street.
