Pedestrian struck, killed on I-290 Eisenhower Expressway, police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A pedestrian was struck and killed on the Eisenhower Expressway Sunday morning, Illinois State Police said.



The crash happened at about 3:10 a.m. on the outbound lanes of the Ike at Pulaski, ISP said.

The pedestrian was allegedly walking on the expressway when they were struck.

ISP said they died at the scene.



The outbound lanes of I-290 were shut down starting at 4:30 a.m. and all lanes reopened by at 6:48 a.m.

No other information was available.
