3 Chicagoans allegedly hurt while protesting outside Broadview ICE facility file claims against DHS

BROADVIEW, Ill. (WLS) -- Three Chicagoans have filed claims against the Department of Homeland Security.

They say they were injured while protesting outside the Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention center in Broadview in September.



Video captured the moment Pastor David Black was hit in the head with pepper balls.

Judy Laut says she has PTSD after she was thrown to the pavement and shot point-blank with pepper balls.



William Paulson says he suffered permanent lung damage.

ABC7 reached out to DHS for comment but did not immediately hear back.
