3 hospitalized after minivan collides with semi in Woodstock: officials

WOODSTOCK, Ill. (WLS) -- Emergency crews cut two people out of a minivan after it collided with a semi in the north suburbs on Friday afternoon.

The Woodstock Fire/Rescue District and the Woodstock Police Department responded to McHenry and Irving avenues just before 3:30 p.m.



The driver of the minivan was seriously injured and airlifted to a hospital.

A passenger in the minivan and the semi's driver suffered less serious injuries and were transported to local hospitals.



McHenry Avenue was closed in both directions between Irving Avenue and Northampton Street until around 5:30 p.m.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
