CHICAGO (WLS) -- Three people were shot and two of them were seriously injured in Chicago's Chatham neighborhood, police said.
The victims appeared to have been shot while in a car, near 8600-block of South Lafayette Avenue, according to witnesses. One of the victims refused treatment; two victims were taken to Christ Hospital in serious but stable condition.

The immediate circumstances around the shooting were not yet clear. Police have not released the ages or genders of the victims, beyond saying they are adults.
