6 north suburban middle school students hospitalized after appearing to eat THC gummies: officials

ROUND LAKE HEIGHTS, Ill. (WLS) -- Six middle school students were taken to a local hospital after appearing to eat THC gummies Wednesday, a north suburban school district said.

Round Lake Area Schools Community Unit School District 116 said the students attend Round Lake Middle School.



The students remained stable, school officials said.

The school district is working with Round Lake Heights police to investigate the incident.



Video of the school Wednesday showed ambulances from different fire departments responding to the scene.

One student put in an ambulance appeared alert.
